Driver Owing $15000 in Fines Facing More Charges After Traffic Stop - VOCM

A traffic stop near Glovertown this week led police to impound the vehicle of a man owing nearly $15,000 in outstanding traffic fines.

RCMP pulled over the driver after spotting him speeding on the highway east of Gambo. Officers discovered that the driver had been suspended from driving due to the outstanding fines.

Police say that a passenger in the vehicle offered to take over driving, however, he was also suspended from driving due to nearly $10,000 in unpaid fines.

The driver was charged with speeding and driving while suspended, while the vehicle was impounded.
