Ontario Provincial Police say that after an Ottawa-area tow truck driver was pulled over for speeding and driving erratically, officers spotted open liquor and cannabis at hand in the cab.

Ottawa OPP’s traffic incident management enforcement (TIME) team made the stop on Highway 417 near Innes Road just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, the force said.

In the Ottawa area, the OPP patrols Highway 416, Highway 417 and Highway 7.

The G2, or novice, driver was already suspended for unpaid fines, police said, and now faces multiple charges.

“Tow truck was towed,” the OPP noted.
